Description

The Swann Falls site offers a large open area suitable for all sizes of rockets up through Level 3. It is located on BLM land, and is wide open and flat. It is the premier Idaho launch site.

The launch site is located 20 miles south of Kuna ID.

Gas:Available in Kuna.

Restrictions

Fires: No open fires allowed. BBQ or fires in off-ground fire pits or metal containers OK.

Environment

Flying season runs from April-June and Oct-Nov. No launches in July-Sept due to the fire danger.  Temperatures average from a low of about 40 to a high of about 95.  Winds are variable, generally about 0-15 mph.   Launches are sometimes postponed if the weather forecast looks marginal.  Check the recorded message on the launch phone at 208-939-9460 for any last minute changes.
